In its 93 years of history, Fantini Cosmi has preserved its nature as a\u00a0family business\u00a0<\/strong>without ever giving up its \u201cItalian heart\u201d. A distinctive feature that it has always been able to express in its products, paying great attention to\u00a0design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fantini Cosmi’s commitment to aesthetic care has been growing hand in hand with the technological innovation that guides its Research and Development. In addition to functionality and safety, the stylistic component has always been a staple in the design of every new product. Thermostats, programmable thermostats, units for controlled mechanical ventilation, but also components for industry, have received awards and recognitions, in addition to the most important appreciation: that of installers and Italians who have chosen the quality of\u00a0made-in-Italy<\/strong> and Fantini Cosmi.<\/p>\n

Precursors to the use of icons<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Since the launch in 1985 of the first digital programmable thermostat produced in Italy, Intellitherm C21,<\/strong>\u00a0Fantini Cosmi has tried to make it easy for anyone to use the technology. A challenge that is not easy, especially if you consider that there were no digital programmable thermostats in Italy at that time.<\/p>\n

For the launch of the C21, Fantini Cosmi entrusted\u00a0Flora Sala<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 an art director who still collaborates with the company today \u2013 with the task of being able to guide the user in the use of a device with new features. The mechanical programmable thermostats on the market were controlled with a wheel, while the new C21 had\u00a04 sliders<\/em>\u00a0that corresponded to different functions. To guide the user and make them understand that each cursor had its own specific function, Flora created new graphic symbols to be associated with the new features and cursors on the device, bypassing the so-called \u201cicons\u201d.<\/p>\n

Distinguished signatures for highly successful programmable thermostats<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In the years that followed, the company entrusted the aesthetic design of other devices to real icons of Italian style such as\u00a0Giorgetto Giugiaro<\/strong>. The Intellitherm\u00a0C25<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0C26<\/strong>\u00a0programmable thermostats were designed by the famous designer and were enormously commercially successful, effectively bringing the design and technology of Fantini Cosmi products into the homes of Italians. Years later, in 2003, Giugiaro designed two other programmable thermostats for the company, the Intellitherm\u00a0C75<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0C76<\/strong> models, with soft and sinuous lines.<\/p>\n

Another important collaboration is the one in progress since 2005 with the designer\u00a0Marco Fossati,<\/strong>\u00a0who in over 12 years of relationship has designed numerous devices for Fantini Cosmi, such as the built-in thermostats\u00a0C37<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/strong>C38<\/strong><\/a>, launched on the market during the 2018 edition of MCE. Added to these are the series of touchscreen thermostats\u00a0Intellicomfort CH180<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and Wi-Fi touchscreens Intellitouch CH193<\/strong><\/a>, excellent examples of a design with clean and elegant lines.\u00a0And, previously, the\u00a0C60\/C63 thermostats<\/strong>\u00a0and the Intellitherm\u00a0C68,<\/strong>\u00a0Intellicomfort CH140, CH141 and CH150 programmable thermostats<\/strong>, the latter awarded the \u201cComfort&Design\u201d<\/em> award during ExpoComfort.<\/p>\n

International awards for ventilation<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Another important\u00a0liaison<\/em>\u00a0with an Italian industrial design firm is that with\u00a0Marcello Vecchi<\/strong>, who collaborated with Fantini Cosmi from 2010 to 2014, designing the first universal extraction fan for the\u00a0Aspira<\/strong>\u00a0brand:\u00a0Aspirante<\/a>. A model with an unmistakable style, which the designer then evolved into the successful\u00a0Aspirvelo\u00a0series<\/a>.<\/p>\n
