90 years in business is a very important goal for a wholly Italian company, in a market where there are very large multinational players. This goal was achieved thanks to a set of values that have made it possible, in the face of an increasingly demanding market, to have an always up-to-date offer: technological innovation, resilience and a reliable presence with its customers. Together with the ability to remake itself quickly.
Until now, Fantini Cosmi’s history has been that of a family of entrepreneurs who in the various generational transitions (two so far) has always been able to find new impetus, and is now healthy, already looking ahead.
“Innovation is the pole star of our company,” explains Angelo Brambilla, Chairman of Fantini Cosmi S.p.A. “Continuous innovation that over time has expanded from temperature regulation – the first sector we started from back in 1931 – to other complementary sectors. We now have a broader vision, we embrace the concept of personal comfort, and we design and build products that allow you to live better, that contribute to health, environmental sustainability, well-being.”
To achieve these results, the company has exploited technological progress and used artificial intelligence to achieve the utmost comfort with minimal energy expenditure, as well as collaborating with prestigious institutions such as the Politecnico of Milan.
“Our research and development department is currently the strongest ever – underlines Franco Brambilla, Angelo’s son and CEO of the company – and our presence on the market is even firmer: our customers know they can count on a reliable partner, that helps them solve problems. This is confirmed by the Fantini Academy project, which over time has become increasingly better established, to train the installers who believe in us and to offer them tangible support throughout their work: design, estimation, installation. And despite our 90 years we are nimble, because speed is a necessary virtue to be able to compete today.”
That’s precisely what happened in the past year, when Fantini Cosmi strongly boosted the digitisation of its processes, renovated the whole controlled mechanical ventilation range (a sector that has been made extremely topical by the pandemic), introduced a series of products for integrated system management in the smart home and today, it presents a preview of a new product, Ecocomfort 2.0 Smart, a solution that applies artificial intelligence (AI) also to controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV) and which has already received the prestigious international Red Dot Design Award 2021.
The anniversary celebrations include a series of activities that will involve all players in the ecosystem, from dealers and installers, to agents and employees, to the entire Fantini Cosmi community, to which the company has dedicated a project and a special website, 90.fantinicosmi.it. A video-story of the company will be published, and a charity project will be launched on the mini-website: as a token of gratitude to its community, Fantini Cosmi will donate 1 euro for every selfie taken by the users, which will be hung on the “thank-you” wall.
And it is precisely the video story that summarises, in 4 minutes, the main stages of the company’s history, which revolves around the entrepreneurial skills of an Italian family of Friulian origins, capable – over time – of riding the evolution of the concept of comfort and to make the best use of the assets and know-how with the various generational transitions. “Società anonima officine Alberto Fantini & C”, founded in 1931 in Milan, has survived bombings, fires and even the most recent financial and pandemic crises, showing an ability to remake itself and tackle ever new challenges. The most recent one: implementing a concept of multi-comfort where the management of temperature, humidity, air quality, efficiency and design are all embodied by ever more integrated and easier to use solutions.
