  In addition to the benefits of mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR), RHINOCOMFORT 3 features an advanced air sanitization system. RHINOCOMFORT 3, thanks to a unique and innovative technology, combines the action of high-power UV-C and UV-A LEDs with a photocatalytic process that generates zero ozone emissions. This system sanitizes the incoming air by breaking down harmful substances and transforming them into harmless and healthy particles. When the sanitization function is activated, RHINOCOMFORT 3 eliminates up to 99.6% of viruses and bacteria, reduces concentrations of PM2.5, PM10, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and prevents the formation of mold and humidity.

  RHINOCOMFORT 3 can be configured as either a main unit or an additional unit.
  When set as an additional unit, the airflow direction can be set as concordant or discordant to the main unit. All units communicate via Bluetooth Low Energy protocol and are managed through the Intelliclima+ app. They can be installed in large or multiple rooms (max signal range approx. 8–10 m in open space).

  Installation and use

  The RHINOCOMFORT 3 ventilation unit must be installed on perimeter walls. Thanks to the telescopic duct, it easily adapts to wall thicknesses ranging from a minimum of 25 cm () to a maximum of 53 cm. Installation is extremely quick and simple, also due to the expandable external grille, which can be mounted from the inside.
  (*) When installing kit AP19881, the minimum wall thickness required is 45 cm.

  Manual Mode Setting
  In this mode, you can manually select the fan speed:

  • V3 – high speed

  • V2 – medium speed

  • V1 – low speed

  • SLEEP – minimum (night-time) speed

  You can also set the ventilation cycle:

  • Air intake (temporary mode, 60 minutes)

  • Air extraction (temporary mode, 60 minutes)

  • Alternating flow intake/extraction in 45-second cycles

  The unit supplies or extracts air while recovering heat, automatically optimizing cycle intervals based on preset thresholds for eCO2, humidity, twilight sensor, and the detected room temperature.

  Auto Mode Setting
  The unit follows a daily schedule, updating every 30 minutes with parameters for speed (VEL 1 – VEL 2 – VEL 3 – SLEEP**) and Off.
  Air intake/extraction and heat recovery are optimized through automatic cycle intervals.

  In this operating mode, the SENSOR function is always active:
  The unit supplies or extracts air while recovering heat, automatically optimizing speed and cycle intervals based on the thresholds set on the internal sensors.

  • What does the air sanitization function involve?

    Sanitization occurs through a photocatalytic process with zero ozone emissions, using UV-A and UV-C LEDs to neutralize up to 99.6% of viruses, bacteria, fine dust (PM2.5/PM10), and VOCs (volatile organic compounds). The supplied air is thus healthier and safer.

  • How does the heat recovery work?

    RHINOCOMFORT 3 features a regenerative ceramic heat exchanger that retains heat from the outgoing air and transfers it to the incoming air. This enables up to 90% heat recovery, significantly saving energy and reducing thermal losses.

  • Does RHINOCOMFORT 3 operate automatically?

    Yes. The Auto Smart Sensor mode automatically adjusts fan speed and ventilation cycles based on data from internal sensors measuring temperature, humidity, air quality (eCO₂), and light. This ensures optimal comfort with minimal consumption.

  • How quiet is it during operation?

    In Sleep mode (night-time), it is extremely quiet, with a noise level of only 15 dB(A) at 3 meters distance, ideal for bedrooms or quiet environments.
